Profile of Rest Black

Rest Black is the founder and president of Life  Haven family International church. He is involved in other businesses,
Relatively in a short period of time, prophet  Rest  Black has established one of the fastest  growing  Pentecostal churche in Zimbabwe which has got another brunches in Zimbabwe and  another one in south Africa Guteng Benoni. Life Haven Family International church  (LHFC).  Originally a young pastor of the Victory Power International Ministries  (VPIM), he founded the new movement in the years 2017-2018.  His controversial public healing sessions and prophecies have won him both supporters and critics. BLACK is increasing his influence in Zimbabwean society through a series of Teaching -related healing deliverance and equipping the saints  with  God's knowledge and expansion of church property to Chitungwiza.


Early life


Prophet Rest Black (also known as Norest Black) was born in February 1987 into a family of small farmers. His parents are Church members in the Baptist  Church in Chitungwiza  Province. In 2007, Black and other boys of his age spent 3 week with the  pastor Dube  on “crusades” with Zimbabwe for Jesus crusade team.
Black started taking God’s word seriously and the next four years turned his life around.
With his parents he organised gospel crusades and preached from home. In 2012, he was called in a vision by God to deliver God's people from the bondage of Satan and teamed up with local  Evangelist  Believe  paradise on gospel crusades.
In 2011, Black enrolled at the  kingdom Word Bible  College Theological Seminary in chitungwiza, graduating in 2014.
After finishing his pastoral studies, Rev. Black
 chose to go to Mashonaeleland and worked as an evangelist and pastor under the supervision of Rev. Mushure , who is now the overseer of  VPIM.
After ordination, he was given an assembly in Bindura, where he became the talk of the neighbourhood with his demonstrations of the power of God. In 2016, he was transferred to South  Africa  and subsequently to Benoni Assembly in Guteng. 2017 Black was  suspended due to  church  politics.
LHF, the religious community currently led by BLACK, was launched in August 2017 as a lunch-hour fellowship at the Anglican  Makoni in chitungwiza. The fellowship was so popular, that after only a month at the Anglican, it moved to the community Hall . In 2018, Life  Haven Family International Ministries, which comprises the Life   Haven Family Interdenominational Ministries and the Life  Haven Family International Church, was formed. The Interdenominational ministry is the mother ministry of the other ministries and arms, which fall under the Life  haven Family International church.
